We have formulated a cream specifically for diminishing, or even erasing, those pesky age/sun spots known as hyperpigmentation.
As we grow older, many start to notice small dark patches on their skin in places that were previously clear of markings. These are commonly known as “age spots,” although they may also be referred to as “liver spots” or “solar letigines.” Age spots, which usually appear in people age forty and older, are different from moles and birthmarks. This of course can also depend on how much time you've spent in the sun, which could promote these spots to appear at a younger age. They are always flat and generally appear gray, brown, or black in color. While they can vary considerably in size, most age spots are under a centimeter in diameter. They are round in shape, though their borders may be somewhat irregular.
Age spots generally appear up on the face, hands, shoulders, arms, back, and other regions frequently exposed to the sun. Their dark coloration is the result of a collection of skin pigment in the area, a symptom known as hyper-pigmentation. This pigment, called melanin, frequently accumulates as a result of exposure to the sun. The sun’s rays activate pigment-producing cells known as melanocytes. Ultimately, age spots are not a health concern. Please relate any health concerns to your personal physician. Age spots are often considered a cosmetic problem. For that reason, many people seek to prevent or remove age spots from their skin.
It's important when using a natural age spot cream to have realistic expectations of the product and how fast it will work. Some manufacturers will claim that they will lighten in 2 weeks. This is only in RARE cases and most times you will not see any results within the first two weeks. Most bottles, when used on the face, should last a month or so. It normally will take at least a month or two for results to start showing but can take up to 6 months. Everyone's skin is different.
It is extremely important to use a strong sunblock of SPF 30 or better at all times when using an age spot cream. This is because using a discoloration treatment or cream makes your skin much more sensitive to the sun and sun exposure can be counterproductive to your age spot lightening goals. Its probably good to limit sun exposure if at all possible during age spot treatment.
